Erlanger Man Hospitalized After Being Pulled from Apartment Fire

Erlanger Police and Erlanger Fire made the rescue early Sunday morning.

(Erlanger, Ky.) – An Erlanger man had to be pulled from an apartment fire early Sunday morning.

Erlanger Police responded to an apartment complex in the 500 block of Greenfield Lane around 5:16 a.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers forced their way into the apartment after determining the occupant was in distress. They would find the male unconscious inside the residence.

Erlanger Fire arrived shortly thereafter and was able to pull the resident from the smoke-filled apartment.

The fire was extinguished, and it was determined there were no other occupants in the apartment.

The resident was transported to UC Medical Center and is currently listed in critical condition, according to Erlanger Police.

Multiple Erlanger Police officers were checked by EMS for smoke inhalation and were released.

A cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
