Troy Daugherty
(Franklin County, Ind.) – A domestic disturbance suspect who ran from police last month has turned himself over to police.
Troy Daugherty was involved in an incident at a home on Little Duck Creek Road in western Franklin County on Thursday, November 17. Shots were reportedly fired during the incident.
When two Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at the scene, Daugherty allegedly attempted to run over one of the deputies as he escaped in a pickup truck.
A deputy was able to shoot out one of the tires of Daugherty’s truck. He ditched the truck less than a mile away and ran off into some nearby woods, leading to a manhunt.
Daugherty had managed to elude police over the past couple weeks until Wednesday, November 30.
Indiana State Police said Friday that arrangements were made and Daugherty surrendered himself Wednesday to state police Detective Kip Main at the Franklin County Jail in Brookville.
Daugherty is charged with Attempted Aggravated Battery (Class B Felony), Resisting Law Enforcement (Class D Felony), Possession of Marijuana (Class D Felony), and Possession of Marijuana (Class A Misdemeanor).
He is currently out of jail on bond.
