(Batesville, Ind.) - A locally-owned southeast Indiana pharmacy is expanding once again. George’s Pharmacy began in 1985 when founder George Gillman opened his first pharmacy in a corner shop on Main Street in Brookville. Today, Gillman along with sons Blake and Trent have expanded the business to include locations in Sunman, Versailles, Bright, and Milan. You’ll soon be able to add Batesville to that list. The pharmacy announced on its website recently that it will open a store on State Road 46 this fall. The 11,000 square foot building located at the intersection with Lammers Pike is a former automotive dealership. It is being expanded to 14,000 square feet. “We would like to thank all of our customers, and everyone in Batesville who is welcoming us,” George Gillman said in a news release. “We always want to make sure we get things right, and with a facility this large it takes time. We’re very excited about the new store, and look forward to not only serving people of Batesville, but providing even better service to all of southeastern Indiana.” The sixth location will be George's largest store, with expanded gifts, floral, beer, wine, spirits, and a large in-store display of our complete line of medical equipment. The Batesville site also includes office space, warehousing, and more than 4,000 feet of commercial lease space.
