(Indianapolis, Ind.) - For the third straight month, Indiana’s unemployment rate remains unchanged.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says the state’s jobless rate was at 3.5 percent in February and remains lower than the national rate of 3.8 percent.
With the exception of October 2014, Indiana’s unemployment rate has been below the national average for more than five years.
Indiana's total labor force, which includes both Hoosiers employed and those seeking employment, stands at 3.40 million, and the state’s 65.2 percent labor force participation rate remains above the national rate of 63.2 percent.
Among neighboring states, Kentucky had a February jobless rate of 4.1 percent, followed by Ohio at 4.6 percent.
