Investigation Underway After Rifle Found In HVL Dredging Material

Dredging work is expected to continue through mid-July.

(Hidden Valley, Ind.) – Local authorities are investigating after a rifle was found at Hidden Valley Lake.

Dredging work has been ongoing since late 2020.

On Tuesday, the Hidden Valley Lake Property Owners Association announced that a rifle for found in dredging material.

Deputies were contacted and they recovered the weapon and placed it in evidence at the Sheriff’s Office.

The case is under investigation.

No further information was released.
