King & Queen Contest, Citizen of the Year Highlight Opening Night at Homecoming Festival

The baby contest takes place Thursday night.

(Dillsboro, Ind.) - It was a beautiful night to kickoff the 2023 Dillsboro Homecoming Festival. 

Per usual, the opening night of the festival saw the crowning of the King and Queen and Prince and Princess, in addition to several awards being handed out.

The winners are:

  • King and Queen: Cael McKeever and Karileigh Oles
  • Prince and Princess: Hunter Oak and Kora Kitchell
  • Senior King and Queen: Jay and Melissa Walston
  • Outstanding Citizen: Charlie Caldwell
  • Firefighter of the Year: Kevin Turner 
  • Policeman of the Year: Gena Allen 

Opening Ceremony for night two of the Dillsboro Homecoming Festival is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The Baby Contest will follow at 7:15 then live music by My Brothers Keeper at 8:30. 

Registration for the Baby Contest is from 5:30 to 6:45. Zero to 24 months will be judged. The entrance fee is $5.
