(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The Lawrenceburg Community Center, located at 423 Walnut St., will host their Grand Re-Opening Event on May 13th, 2022, beginning at 10 am.

“For many years, the Lawrenceburg Community Center has been a staple in our community. The hard work and dedication of the previous staff and Board of Directors having been much appreciated. In 2021, the City of Lawrenceburg took over management of the Lawrenceburg Community Center in an effort to further our commitment to creating exceptional recreational outlets and quality of life experiences for our citizens. City Council and I then decided it was time to pursue needed facility improvements and upgrades along with expanded programming to meet these goals.” ~ Mayor Kelly Mollaun.

In 2021-2022, the Lawrenceburg Community Center has undergone a full-scale renovation. Improvements centered on new signage, new entry desk, enhanced computer lab, painting and new flooring throughout facility, new furniture, premier gaming hub and equipment, updated classrooms, meeting spaces and restrooms, Dance Revolution machine, updated café and much more. Community programming and marketing also continue to expand and flourish under new leadership.

Lawrenceburg Community Center Director, Richard Richardson shared, “We’re super excited for our Grand Re-Opening of the Lawrenceburg Community Center. Following the renovation, we’ve enhanced the community center for all to enjoy. The facility provides fun activities that people seek, while giving them access to educational and recreational experiences that may otherwise be hard to come by. We have kept our programming affordable so that everyone in the community has the opportunity to participate.  Our staff priorities focus on putting out positive, patron focused, interactions each and every day at the Lawrenceburg Community Center. Check out the Lawrenceburg Community Center as we are truly a place for everyone. We would love to have you stop in for a visit!”

“We are thrilled about the Grand Re-Opening of the Lawrenceburg Community Center. On behalf of the City of Lawrenceburg and City Council, I invite you to see and participate in the many ways our Lawrenceburg Community Center resource can be enjoyed. I hope to see you either at the Grand Re-Opening event or here soon at the newly re-vamped Lawrenceburg Community Center.” ~Mayor Mollaun.
