Lawrenceburg First Friday Wine Walk & Shop Benefits Wounded Warrior Project

Press release from Lawrenceburg Main Street, Inc. (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - It’s time for another First Friday event, this Friday, May 2 in Downtown Lawrenceburg.  This month Lawrenceburg Main Street will be recognizing the Wounded Warrior Project and honoring all veterans.  Volunteer Tim Brucz initiated this event and members of the American Legionl David McAllister Post #239 are providing volunteer support.  A giant American Eagle wall plaque and handmade crocheted American flag will be raffled and Legion members will be selling Split the Pot and accepting donations for bracelets and decals. All proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.  Lawrenceburg’s Brett Bondurant will be in attendance.  A special prize drawing, reserved exclusively for veterans will be held, and any veteran can register with ID or proof of military service.  Military can also receive a $2 discount of any food order at Bob O’s, 1 East High Street. Celebrate the end of the week, dine at local restaurants, shop Downtown businesses, enjoy beverages and snacks, and qualify to win prizes ranging from gift certificates to an overnight package (meals included ) at Hollywood Casino.  Be sure to begin your evening by registering at 131 Walnut Street (former bank building).  Registration will be open from 5:30 – 8:00, with prize drawing winners selected at 9:15.  Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg is the event sponsor.

Work will take place on U.S. 50 between State Road 350 and Dutch Hollow Road.
