(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg Speedway will be in need of a new promoter at the end of the season.

Dave and Kim Rudisell announced Thursday via Facebook that they will be retiring from racing after the October 7 season finale.

The Rudisell’s began their journey as promoters of Lawrenceburg Speedway in 2007.

“Lawrenceburg Speedway is a massive facility that takes a huge staff and has always been a 24/7/365 endeavor. This pace is no longer sustainable for us. We have missed more funerals, weddings, births, graduations, and birthdays for loved ones and close friends than we can even begin to count. As time has passed and as we have gotten older, our priorities have changed. We miss our loved ones, we miss our friends, we miss traveling and spending time with each other and our fur-babies. We miss life,” reads a statement from the Rudisell’s.

As for the 2024 season and beyond, what happens at Lawrenceburg Speedway is not up to the Rudisell’s. They lease the facility that is owned by the City of Lawrenceburg.

At a later date, information will be provided on selling all operations, track, and kitchen equipment. Anyone interested in purchasing an entire category of equipment should email promoter@lawrenceburgspeedway.com.

All gift cards issued since 2007 will expire October 7, 2023.
