The University of Indianapolis wrestling program announced Wednesday that Lawrenceburg senior Jake Ruberg has committed to wrestle for their program beginning next fall.

— UIndy Wrestling (@UIndyWrestling) November 16, 2016 Ruberg has had an incredible high school career including two trips to the IHSAA Semi-State Tournament at 138 pounds and 160 pounds, respectively. One of Ruberg’s two trips to the semi-state happened as a freshman when he went 40-2 overall. A bump in weight class did not phase Ruberg as a junior when he returned to the semi-state at 160 pounds, finishing with an overall record of 43-3. During his illustrious high school career, Ruberg has earned a number of achievements including: 2014 EIAC Tournament Champion (138 lbs.), 2014 EIAC Wrestling MVP, 2014 EIAC All-Conference, 2016 EIAC Tournament Champion (160 lbs.), EIAC All-Conference. Ruberg is expected to compete at 184 pounds at the University of Indianapolis.
