Margaret Mary Health's HMR Program Named No. 1 Weight Loss Diet

Press release by Margaret Mary Health (Batesville, Ind.) - A program offered by Margaret Mary Health and created by HMR Weight Management Services (HMR) has been named a No. 1 Best Fast Weight-Loss Diet for 2018. This is the third consecutive year in which HMR has earned this honor. HMR programs focus on helping people lose weight quickly while teaching the healthy lifestyle skills needed for long-term weight management. MMH offers the HMR program in the Romweber Flats building in downtown Batesville. Since the clinic opened in 2012, the HMR staff has served more than 700 patients in southeastern Indiana. HMR specializes in helping those with a lot of weight to lose. “Another key difference is we’re able to offer medical oversight if needed,” said HMR nurse, Krista Ketcham. “This is important if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or other weight-related conditions that may need monitoring during weight loss.” HMR focuses on helping people make healthier food choices, eat more fruits and vegetables and increase physical activity. The plans are designed to simplify food decisions by using only HMR foods, such as shakes, entrees, cereal and nutrition bars, with the option of unlimited fruits and vegetables on some plans. The average weight loss for the in-clinic plans are 43-66 lbs. for the Decision-Free® diet and 28-37 lbs. for the Healthy Solutions® diet, based on research studies conducted in people who completed between 12-26 weeks. An at-home diet with phone coaching is also available with an average weight loss of 23-28 lbs. To register for a free HMR information session, call 812.932.4670.
