Multiple Agencies Respond to Single Vehicle Fatal Crash on State Road 1

(Franklin County, Ind.) – One person was killed in a single-vehicle accident on State Road 1 in Franklin County.

Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash on Thursday around 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Bentley Road.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 2004 Chevrolet Impala entangled in a guardrail off the side of the road.

The initial investigation shows that the driver, Alisa Kendrick, 46, of Brookville, was northbound on SR 1 when for an unknown reason her vehicle left the roadway and crashed into the guardrail.

Kendrick was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies determined that she was not wearing her seat belt.

The accident remains under investigation.
