(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The Ohio County Community Foundation (OCCF) is celebrating 25 years (1998-2023). In the spirit of community, the 2023 Celebration Grant guidelines dictated that submitted proposals must focus strictly on programming for Ohio County residents. Programs that would engage residents and enhance their quality of life by addressing key challenges or presenting unique opportunities.
The Ohio County Health Department (OCHD) has been chosen as the recipient of the 2023 Ohio County Community Foundation Annual Celebration Grant. OCCF has been funding programs and projects benefitting Ohio County in the areas of cultural affairs, education, community development, health, scholarships and human services for 25 years (1998-2023). In honor of those years of grant making, the OCHD grant award amount is $10,025.
This year’s grant will provide mental health counseling to Ohio County community members experiencing, but not limited to, anxiety, depression and/or addiction issues. Mental health services will be available to children, adolescents, and adults. The OCHD believes their proposal will be a productive beginning for a community without mental health services readily available. For questions concerning this mental health program, please contact the Health Department.
The OCCF would like to thank all of the applicants for submitting such outstanding grant proposals. They would also like to again, Congratulate the Ohio County Health Department for being chosen as this years’ OCCF Celebration Grant recipient.
