(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Three people who died in a tornado in Jefferson County are relatives of an Ohio County resident.
Indiana Conservation Officer David Jackson, of Dillsboro, lost his mother, father and nephew.
Terry and Nancy Carol Jackson, both 70, as well as their four-year-old great grandson Daylynn Jackson, were killed when an EF4 tornado hit their home on Jackson Road near the town of Chelsea.
Terry was a farmer all of his life. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle when he wasn’t busy around the farm.
Nancy worked in the Southwestern Elementary School cafeteria for ten years.
Family friend David Hayes says the Jacksons’ belongings and pieces of that home have been scattered through the area.
“There is nothing left of the home or its contents. No pictures, no momentos at all,” Hayes said.
Hayes asks if anyone locates any item of value they believe may belong to the Jacksons to contact him by e-mail, dhayes818@yahoo.com.
The funeral for Terry and Nancy Jackson has been scheduled for Friday, March 9 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at North Madison Christian Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the church.
