Pedestrian in Critical Condition After Being Struck by Vehicle on Burlington Pike

(Florence, Ky.) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning.

Florence Police responded to the crash on Burlington Pike near the intersection of Commerce Drive around 12:55 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a passenger vehicle had collided with a pedestrian in the left westbound lane. The pedestrian was walking south across Burlington Pike and the vehicle was unable to stop to avoid the collision.

The pedestrian, who remains unidentified, was transported to UC Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.

The driver was uninjured.

The investigation is ongoing.
