(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg Police say a medical complication led to a head-on crash on U.S. 50 on Monday morning.
Officers responded to the crash at 1203 W. Eads Parkway around 9:56 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found two damaged vehicles that appeared to collide head-on. One of the vehicles was driven by Robert Melrose, of Aurora.
The preliminary investigation indicated that Melrose lost control of his vehicle and drifted left of center due to a medical complication. He later passed away.
Autopsy results are pending.
The other vehicle involved was driven by Sharon Eckstein, of Aurora. She was transported to St. Elizabeth Dearborn with minor injuries.
