(Batesville, Ind.) - The Ripley County Community Foundation is honored to announce the establishment of the Wood-Mizer Charitable Giving Fund. Wood-Mizer, a valued community partner, established this fund to support the sustainability and quality of life in Ripley County.

Wood-Mizer’s core values and the Ripley County Community Foundation’s strategic imperatives are closely aligned, making Wood-Mizer’s investment in the community foundation a natural and mutually beneficial partnership, which contributes to the overall well-being of the community. This generous contribution strengthens the community foundation’s ability to respond to the evolving needs of our community and capitalize on new opportunities. The Wood-Mizer Charitable Giving Fund represents a lasting commitment to the well-being of Ripley County, ensuring resources are available to meet the needs of residents today, and for generations to come.

“We are incredibly grateful for Wood-Mizer’s confidence in our mission and their commitment to Ripley County,” said Amy Streator, Executive Director of the Ripley County Community Foundation. “This investment is a powerful example of how corporate philanthropy can make a significant difference in small communities. By working together, we can create a vibrant and thriving Ripley County for all.”

Corporate investment plays a vital role in the success of small communities. Businesses like WoodMizer not only provide jobs and economic stimulus, but their charitable contributions also empower local organizations like the Ripley County Community Foundation to address critical needs, support essential services, and foster a sense of community pride.

John T. Smith, Chief Executive Officer at Wood-Mizer stated, “As a company that is deeply rooted in Batesville, we recognize the importance of supporting the people and initiatives that make our community thrive. Batesville is where we run our factory, partner with other businesses, and see many of our employees live, volunteer, send their kids to school, and enjoy a great quality of life. It’s a wonderful community to call home. Wood-Mizer is blessed to be able to establish this fund for the continued support of the many initiatives of the Ripley County Community Foundation.”
