Press release from the City of Lawrenceburg Ribbon cutting took place Wednesday morning at the new Dearborn Co. Animal Clinic's new location at 350 Fourth Street in Lawrenceburg. Photo provided. (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Members of the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce, the City of Lawrenceburg and employees of the Dearborn County Animal Clinic gathered this morning for a ribbon cutting at the Dearborn County Animal Clinic’s new location at 350 Fourth Street in Lawrenceburg. The clinic has a long history of serving furry friends in the region.  Since 1993, Dr. Steven Hubbard, DVM has been practicing from their Doughty Road location.  Dr. Hubbard and his wife Diana Hubbard purchased the business on Doughty Road from Dr. Murl Fox and rented the building from Dr. Fox upon his retirement. Due to the age and location of the building, Dr. Hubbard approached realtors and the City of Lawrenceburg inquiring about any available properties in the area.  During Mayor Cunningham’s administration, the lot at 350 Fourth Street became available.  Dr. Hubbard felt it was a viable site due to its location and the recent development of the surrounding area.  The purchase was finalized during Mayor Carr’s administration and construction began in November of 2014.  Due to the ice storms that occurred in that month, construction was halted and restarted in April of 2015. Dr. Hubbard and his wife Diana envisioned a facility similar to the Bright office that was constructed in 2000 with modern layout and room for growth.  The new location has allowed for the Dearborn County Animal clinic to become a multi-doctor hospital with functionality and state of the art equipment.  All of the necessary components to practice progressive veterinary medicine have been updated and upgraded such as digital radiography, in house laboratory and ultrasound (coming soon). "We would like to thank the Carr and Cunningham administrations and the city of Lawrenceburg for working with us and assisting us in seeing this project come to fruition."  -Dr. Steven Hubbard The Hubbard team also owns the Bright Veterinary Clinic where the focus is on mixed animal medicine. The Bright location will continue to see all different types of small, large, and exotic animals by appointment with Dr. Hubbard and Dr. Lisa Day while the new Dearborn County Animal Clinic will continue to welcome dogs and cats, by appointment, with Dr. Weininger and Dr. Lawrence.  The new facility’s hours are Monday –Thursday 8-6 and Friday 8-4. An open house at the new location is planned for Sunday, November 15th from 1pm until 4pm.  The Hubbards will be offering tours of the new hospital, refreshments and door prizes.
