Ripley Co. Fire Departments Battle Early Morning House Fire

The fire broke out Thursday just after 4:00 a.m.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - Two local fire agencies responded to a house fire early Thursday morning.

Friendship Volunteer Fire and Versailles Fire Rescue were called to a home in the 600 block of 450 South around 4:00 AM.

Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters encountered smoke coming from the upper portion of the home.

Firefighters remained on the scene for about two hours.

No injuries were reported, and a cause of the fire remains under investigation.
