(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Friends and family will say their final goodbyes to Rising Sun Chief of Police David Hewitt Wednesday.
The funeral service for Hewitt will be held at the Rising Sun High School gymnasium starting at 11:00 a.m. Hundreds lined up for the visitation at the school Tuesday.
The Rising Sun High School boys basketball team was playing in Morristown Tuesday evening. A moment of silence was held for Hewitt prior to the tipoff.

Police advocacy groups are asking citizens to wear blue Wednesday as another show of support for Hewitt and law enforcement.
The 20-year police chief in Rising Sun died February 13 following a car crash on State Road 56 near Vevay. Icy roads could have played a factor in the crash.
