Rising Sun Regional Foundation Awards Local Communities

Organizations interested in applying for the next round of grants must submit their applications by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

(Rising Sun, IN) - The Rising Sun Regional Foundation has announced its first-quarter grant awards for 2025, totaling an impressive $236,842 in funding to support various community projects and initiatives.

The following organizations and projects received grants:

  • $4,000 – Batesville Music Boosters for a drum cart and field equipment.
  • $5,000 – City of Rising Sun for an employee handbook.
  • $40,000 – Ohio County Rescue Services for a cardiac monitor upgrade.
  • $40,000 – Ohio County Youth Development for 4-H swine pens replacement.
  • $30,000 – Osgood Police Department for an improvement plan.
  • $27,000 – Rising Sun Municipal Utilities for a sewer influent pump replacement.
  • $24,842 – Rising Sun Ohio County Community School Corporation for signage.
  • $21,000 – Rising Sun Ohio County Emergency Services Board for air handling units.
  • $40,000 – Town of Sunman for equipment for safer roads.
  • $5,000 – Tyson Library Association for a new computer server.

Organizations interested in applying for the next round of grants must submit their applications by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
