Ritzmann Returns To UCB Leadership Role

By Mike Perleberg (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A new Chairman of the Board has been selected for Lawrenceburg-based United Community Bancorp, the holding company of United Community Bank. It’s a name very familiar to the bank. William “Bill” Ritzmann was announced as the board’s appointment as board chair on October 10. He replaces Ralph B. Sprecher, who has retired from the position, according to a news release. Ritzmann was president and CEO of UCB staring with the bank’s formation in 1999 and until his retirement this past June. Under his leadership, the bank expanded to eight branches throughout Dearborn and Ripley counties. Also, Sprecher has been appointed the Independent Lead Director of the Board of Directors of United Community Bancorp and the bank.
