(Aurora, Ind.) - A big sister with a big heart continues to raise money to find a cure for a genetic disorder her younger brother suffers from. Rowan Ziegler set up her infamous lemonade stand at Combs Pizza in downtown Aurora on April 19th to raise funds for Jets Flight Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Nearly a year ago, Rowan came up with the idea to sell lemonade in effort to help provide funding to find a cure for cystic fibrosis, the very disorder her younger brother, Jet has been diagnosed with. Last spring, Rowan raised over $1,000, but she easily surpassed that total last week. According to Rowan’s parents Adam and Valerie, their daughter raised $4,010 during the one-day fundraiser at Combs Pizza. Combs Pizza donated 10 percent of their daily sales, which amounted to $500. All proceeds will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The Ziegler family extends their thanks to Jesse and April Combs, the Combs Pizza staff and everyone who helped make the fundraiser a success.
