SD Senior Named Commended Student in 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program

Congratulations to Brayden Hurelbrink.

(Aurora, Ind.) – South Dearborn High School senior Brayden Hurelbrink has been named a Commended Student in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship program.

Commended Students are placed among the top 50,000 students in the nation who entered the 2025 competition by taking the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Hurelbrink has been awarded a Letter of Commendation from South Dearborn High School and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program.

“Here at SDHS, we know well of Brayden’s achievements and potential through his classwork and extracurricular activities. This accomplishment only contributes to our confidence in Brayden’s bright future and contributions to society.” said Principal Steve Ohlhaut.
