The Section 8 HCV program is available to income eligible individuals and families in southeastern Indiana.
(Undated) - Effective June 24, 2019, the SIEOC on behalf of the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) funded by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development will open the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Waiting List for Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland and Union Counties. The Section 8 HCV program is available to income eligible individuals and families and exists to assist with rent payments to provide decent, affordable, sanitary, and safe housing for persons with low incomes.
SIEOC will accept applications on Monday’s only from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by phone

Applicants are placed on the list in order of preference points, then by date and time of application. Preference points are granted for residency, homelessness, working families ( persons either going to school or working at least 20 hours per week); elderly status, non-elderly disabled status, having a disabled family member, and persons residing in institutions such as nursing homes or whom are at risk of institutionalization.
Placement on the waiting list is not a guarantee that applicants will qualify for assistance.
