Special Olympics Winter Games At Perfect North

Special Olympics Indiana

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Let the games begin! Special Olympics Indiana holds its annual state winter games at Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg starting Monday.

Opening ceremonies were held Sunday night at the ski area. This is the third year that Perfect North has hosted the games.

Events ranging from snowshoeing to snowboarding and skiing will run through Tuesday. Many of the participating teams from around Indiana are staying overnight at Higher Ground Conference & Retreat Center in West Harrison.

Perfect North had to close on Sunday because of heavy rains throughout the weekend. Luckily, temperatures dropped Sunday night allowing crews to get to work creating more snow overnight.
