(Edgewood, Ky.) - A local hospital is earning high marks in a new ranking of the nation’s best hospitals in U.S. News and World Reports.
The annual U.S. News Best Hospitals rankings, now in their 24th year, recognize hospitals that excel in treating the most challenging patients. The report evaluates hospitals in 16 adult specialties.
Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood has been ranked as the top overall hospital in all of Kentucky. Saint “E” Edgewood was also rated fourth in the Cincinnati metro. Saint Elizabeth Florence and Saint Elizabeth Fort Thomas tied for eighth in both Kentucky and the Cincinnati metro.
The top three hospitals in the Cincinnati metro, according to the report, were Christ Hospital, followed by Bethesda North Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. The report did not include any southeast Indiana counties or their hospitals in the Cincinnati metro area.
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center was the top hospital nationally for excellence in cancer treatment for children’s specialties.
U.S. News and World Reports did include some data on every hospital in the nation.
