(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Summer isn't quite over yet. Before it ends, there is still some fun in the sun to be had.
The City of Lawrenceburg will host the 2nd annual Whiskey City Summer Fest on Saturday, August 22 at 6:00 p.m. in the Civic Park.
"They only way we can continue to have these events is if people obey the guidelines that the Governor has put out. I just want to reiterate, we want people to social distance and if you can't wear your mask. It's all about personal responsibility. If you don't feel comfortable coming to an event, please don't. We don't want to make you uncomfortable. But if you want to come you know sort of the risk and we are asking you to obey the guidelines."
CMA Award winning country music star David Lee Murphy will headline the free concert event. Murphy won the CMA Musical Event of the Year in 2018 for "Everything's Gonna Be Alright" with Kenny Chesney. He is also known for his number one hit "Dust on the Bottle" and other hit songs such as "Party Crowd", "Out with a Bang", "Every Time I Get Around You", "The Road You Leave Behind", and "Loco".
"We're excited about having David Lee Murphy and I think people we'll come and enjoy a great evening of music and that's what we want people to do," said Mollaun.
