The Dearborn County Recycling Center is Hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Collection

All items are free to drop off.

(Aurora, Ind.) - The Dearborn County Recycling Center is hosting a Hazardous Waste Collection Day on May 14, 2022.

The collection will take place at the old North Dearborn Elementary parking lot from 8 a.m. to noon.

Participants should enter from North Dearborn Road.

This event is for Dearborn County residents only.

Examples of accepted items include:

  • bug sprays
  • pool chemicals
  • epoxy/adhesives
  • oil-based paints and stains
  • gasoline & kerosene
  • brake fluid
  • grease and degreasers
  • drain openers
  • bleach
  • oven cleaners
  • hair dyes and perm chemicals

All items are free to drop off. 

Household Hazardous Waste materials can also be dropped off at the Recycling Center during drive thru hours.
