Thieves Caught After Stealing 500 lbs. Of Scrap

(Florence, Ky.) - Three family members are in jail accused of taking 500 pounds of scrap metal from a Florence business.

 

The recently formed Boone County Sheriff’s Scrap Metal Unit made the bust after a pile of scrap was taken from ZF Steering Systems in Florence.

 

An employee at ZF Steering witnessed the theft around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday and gave police a vehicle description.

 

That vehicle and the scrap metal was found at a home ion the 2800 block of Madison Avenue in Covington.

 

Ira Boles, Jr, 33; his wife Tammy Boles, 34; and their cousin Jessica Boles, 28, are each charged with Theft and Criminal Trespassing.
