Press release by Dearborn County Hospital (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Dearborn County Hospital has partnered with TriHealth to provide Hospitalist services for its inpatients. Hospital Medicine Physicians, better known as Hospitalists, work on-site to provide seven-day-a-week, around-the-clock care for hospitalized patients. Hospitalists work in addition to other practitioners, such as Emergency Department Physicians, who also provide 24/7 care. “DCH has utilized Hospitalists since the fall of 2013,” explained Michael W. Schwebler, Dearborn County Hospital President/CEO. “All major tertiary care hospitals and most large metropolitan and suburban facilities have Hospitalist programs to ensure continuity of care and 24-hour-a-day access for their inpatients. “I am very pleased to say that we are now using the services of TriHealth Hospitalists to care for patients at DCH. TriHealth Hospitalists have a reputation for providing outstanding clinical care in a manner that is both professional and compassionate. They are familiar with our community and our hospital, so it is easy for them to have a good rapport with our patients and families, as well as our physicians and staff. Based on the favorable comments we have received to date, I think the TriHealth Hospitalists are a very good fit for our hospital and most importantly, for our patients.” “Our nursing staff has also been very complimentary of the TriHealth Hospitalists,” added Angela Scudder, R.N., M.S.N., DCH Vice President of Patient Care Services. “They appreciate the Hospitalists’ approachability and their skill at effectively communicating with both patients and their families.” TriHealth’s team of 30 plus Hospitalists, led by Bryan Strader, M.D., Chief of Hospital Medicine, provides care for inpatients at DCH, Bethesda North, Good Samaritan and Bethesda Butler Hospitals.
