Unclaimed Funds Reach Over $1MILLION in Dearborn County

By Alison Wiegand (Dearborn County, Ind.) - In Dearborn County, unclaimed funds have peaked over $1 million. To be exact, the unclaimed funds in Dearborn County has reached $1,780,391. Unclaimed property includes: investment earnings insurance proceeds and benefits wages money from savings and checking accounts Less than one percent of unclaimed assets are physical items. Unclaimed property does not include abandoned vehicles or real estate. Attorney General, Greg Zoeller, is encouraging Hoosiers to check funds by visiting  www.IndianaUnclaimed.gov .
