Club will go on with its antique tractor show at the Ripley County Fairgrounds on Friday evening, but the Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series truck and tractor pulls are being postponed. Event officials cited forecasted rainy weather in postponing Friday night's tractor pulls. As of this report, the tractor pulls are still being planned for Saturday, however, more rainy weather is in the forecast for Saturday. Updates will be provided by the Southeastern Indiana F.A.R.M. Club on their Facebook page. Original story published Thursday, June 25 at 8:25 a.m.: (Osgood, Ind.) - The little town of Osgood will get some big exposure when it appears on national television. NBC Sports Network will be in town this weekend to cover the Howes Lubricator Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series at the Southeastern Indiana F.A.R.M. Club’s antique machinery show. The tractor and truck pulling competitions happen Friday and Saturday at the Ripley County Fairgrounds. “Last year we set a record for the largest crowd ever in Osgood and we hope to do it again,” said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell. “NBC Sports will be filming the pull on Saturday night and due to the size of the event we will start early at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. This event will feature all the classes the BOB Series has to offer, as well as giving fans a chance to visit one of the largest Antique Tractor and Agricultural Heritage Shows in the State of Indiana.” The television program will air at a later date to be determined. NBC Sports Network covered the same tractor pulling event when it came to Osgood last year. You can watch the episode, which featured some Ripley County history and events, here. If you want to see the tractor pulling action live and in-person, competition begins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and continues starting at 5:00 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $12 each night F.A.R.M. Club director Chuck Heck says there is also word that the Discovery Channel may be filming a reality show at the tractor pulls in Osgood this weekend. Aside from the pulling, this year’s antique machinery show features old time tractors from the BF Avery Collectors & Associates National Club and the Vintage Garden Tractor Club of America.
