UPDATE: Two Hospitalized Following Reported Shooting In Switzerland Co.

Update published at 4:15 p.m.:  Two were hospitalized following a reported shooting incident in Switzerland County. The Switzerland County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from a male subject claiming to be the victim of a shooting incident around 11:49 a.m. on Sunday. After arriving at the scene, deputies say they spoke with Bruce Goddard before he was air lifted to an area hospital. With the help of an Indiana State Police K9 unit, deputies were able to locate Penny Goddard in a wooded area near the residence. She was also transported by air ambulance to an area hospital. The extent of the two's injuries were not disclosed, but both subjects were last reported to be in stable condition, and are expected to recover. The Switzerland County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Posey Volunteer Fire Department, Switzerland County Emergency Response, Indiana State Police and the Vevay Police Department. Further updates will be released as information becomes available.   Original story published at 9:00 a.m.: (Switzerland County, Ind.) – A reported shooting occurred in Switzerland County Sunday. The incident happened on Devers Road, according to Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Brian Morton. An Indiana State Police K9 unit was also involved in helping locate a suspect. Additional information is expected to be released by the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office this morning.
