The virtual event will be live streamed through a link on Bright Community Festival Facebook page.
(Bright, Ind.) - After cancelling the Bright Community Festival and Parade for the first time in four decades, the members of the Bright Fire Department and community will be holding the first ever Bright Virtual Festival and Concert this Saturday, July 25.
The cancellation of in-person festivities follows the Governor’s decisions to extend Stage 4.5 of the Back on Track plan.
"We searched for a way to connect with the community and try to provide an opportunity for families to still enjoy the Saturday evening we would normally be at the festival, while staying safe," reads a post on the Bright Community Festival Facebook page.
This virtual festival is possible with the help from community members, SOL Records and NOW broadcasting. These sponsorships will allow for a live streaming event featuring local Country Artist, Danny Frazier, from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m.
Split-the-pot and vacation raffles will continue to be available. If you wish to participate in these raffles, there will be members of the Bright Fire Department at the Station 1 Firehouse, 23759 Brightwood Dr, Lawrenceburg, to hand out and collect tickets and donations during the live streamed event. You may also call the fire department at 812-637-3473 to purchase raffle ticket.
The Split-the-Pot running total will be announced throughout the stream. Winners will be drawn and announced via live stream on Sunday, July 26, at 1:00 p.m.
While the festival will be different this year, community members are encouraged to watch the live stream event and enjoy the festival safely with family and friends.
Donation links will be made available to "recoup" some of the fundraising for the Bright Fire Department during the live event. 100% of tips will directly benefit the Bright Fire Department/EMS.
A link to the Bright Virtual Festival and Concert will be available as the music starts on the Bright Community Festival Facebook page.
"Thank you in advance for your continued support and any donation is welcomed and greatly appreciated."
