Four clean-ups have been scheduled throughout 2024 with the first coming up in March.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - It’s that time of year when the Dearborn County Anti-Litter Initiative (DCALI) announces the preliminary calendar for organized roadside litter clean-ups.

Kicking off the 2024 season is the 11th Annual “Clean Up Logan Day,” started by the Volpenhein family on the second Saturday in March long before the DCALI began. This year it is planned for Saturday, March 9.

The Clean Up Logan Day effort has expanded over the years and more volunteers and SXS vehicles are needed. Volunteers will meet at 8 a.m. at Logan Supermart. The group will focus on Whites Hill Road from 8:30-10 a.m. Whites Hill will be closed from State Road 46 to Gaynor Ridge during this time. The group will then move to North Dearborn Road from 10 a.m.-12 noon between Pinhook and State Line. The road will be closed during this time.

There is an alternate date of March 16 for the Clean Up Logan Day if March 9 is cancelled because of weather.
