Woman's Death In Downtown Lawrenceburg Under Investigation

The body was discovered near The Levee Breaker Bar on Sunday.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A woman was found shot in downtown Lawrenceburg on Sunday.

The 31-year-old woman was discovered near The Levee Breaker Bar on Sunday.

Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens tells Eagle Country 99.3 the victim was shot. She was pronounced dead after being taken to Highpoint Health Hospital in Lawrenceburg.

Chief Donald Combs, Jr. says Lawrenceburg Police investigators are working to determine if the death was a homicide or suicide.

Deddens says an autopsy is scheduled.
