(Versailles, Ind.) - Over 320 young women gathered at the Southeastern Career Center (SCC) during I AM CTE week to attend the Fearless Female Program last Thursday, February 20.
The 2nd annual Fearless Female event at SCC aimed to expose young women in the area to non-traditional and STEM related pathways.
During this program, teachers from participating programs spent time explaining the programs and career opportunities while offering fun activities from their field of study.
Programs included:
- Automotive, Jerry Pflum and Luke Badinghaus
- Building Trades, Todd Ault and Rob Truesdel
- Diesel, Larry Smith and Brian King
- Electrical, Eric Webster and Jackie Tackett
- Heavy Equipment, Ron Messer
- Welding, Jason Edwards and Casey Jones
Not only did each participant walk away with a free T-shirt, goodie bag, and door prizes, but possibly a new perspective on career ideas for them.
