(Greensburg, Ind.) - Area teams and individuals have punched their ticket to the IHSAA Girls Golf Regional.
Sectional tournaments featuring local teams took place on Saturday at Greensburg and Madison.
At Sectional 27 at Greensburg, Batesville took home their fifth straight sectional championship with a low score of 313.
East Central (357) and Greensburg (399) also advanced to the Regional by placing in the top three.
East Central's Rowan Pies was the round medalist with a 69. Batesville's Ava South placed second with a 71. Annie Hoff and Audrey Mears, both of Franklin County, advanced to the Regional without their team by placing in the top three of individuals not on a regional qualifying team. Hoff shot a 97 while Mears carded a 98.
At Sectional 30 at Madison, the host Lady Cubs won the sectional title with a low score of 367. Switzerland County (413) and Scottsburg (426) placed second and third, advancing to the Regional.
Madison's Emmianna Dowell was the round medalist with an 80. Switzerland County's top performers were Alexis Mangold and Payton Stow. They both carded a 99.
Regional qualifying teams and individuals will compete at the Franklin Community Regional at Legends Golf Club on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
