The Bulldogs will host Lawrenceburg this Friday in the Sectional 31 Semifinals.
(Batesville, Ind.) – Batesville’s dynamic quarterback/wide receiver duo etched their names in the record books on Friday.
The Bulldogs defeated Rushville 35-6 in the opening round of sectional play.
Junior quarterback Will Jaisle went 10-13 for 151 yards and three touchdown passes. In the process, Jaisle set a new school record for TD passes in a single season with 23.
Trey Heidlage held the previous record with 21 TD passes in 2018.
Two of Jaisle’s three TD passes went to junior wideout Cade Kaiser, which brought his season total to 14, breaking the previous record of 12 TD catches set by Tom Jeffers, Wes Goldsmith and Austin Siefert.
Coach Evan Ulery also had a milestone moment on Friday, winning his 50th game as Batesville head coach.
Batesville (9-1, #10 in 3A) will host Lawrenceburg (8-2, #9 in 3A) on Friday in the Sectional 31 semifinals. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Eagle Country 99.3 will have full coverage starting at 6:40.
