Erika Wells can do it all!
(Normal, Ill.) - Erika Wells already has a lot on her plate.
She is a student-athlete at Illinois State University where she plays soccer and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology (Pre-Med Pathway).
While she balances the life of a student-athlete, Wells carries a 4.0 GPA and was named to the Dean’s List during the Fall 2023 semester.
When she is not studying or playing soccer, she serves as a soccer personal trainer on the weekend, is a member of the INDY-Pendence Service Dog’s Club and is now the new girls junior varsity soccer head coach and varsity assistant at Bloomington High School.
“Super excited to have the opportunity to coach and lead these phenomenal young women. Excited to be part of their journey,” said Wells in a social media post.
During the 2023 season, Wells (defender) appeared in 14 games for the Birds, totaling 349 minutes.
At East Central, she was a four-time EIAC conference champion, three-time sectional champion, and ranks top 10 in career points (106) in program history. She was EC’s all-time leader in assists (48) until Lexi Watkins broke her record last fall with 54 career assists.
