EC, L'Burg, OA Girls Soccer Teams Advance to Regional Championship

EC and L'Burg won convincingly, while OA advanced in the most dramatic way possible.

Class 3A Regional Semifinals

#12 East Central 4, Franklin Central 0 

• Maria Mayer (EC): 2 goals
• Ava Leihgeber, Peyton Aichele (EC): goal each

*#12 East Central will play #3 Carmel in the Regional Championship on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The match will be played at Carmel High School. The winner will play either #14 Center Grove or #7 Castle for the semi-state championship (location TBD). 

Class 2A Regional Semifinals

#2 Lawrenceburg 6, Madison 1

• Preslee Rugg (LB): 3 goals, assist
• Stevi Peak (LB): 2 goals
• Ava Merkel (LB): goal, 2 assists
• Morgan Manford (LB): 2 assists

*#2 Lawrenceburg will play #8 Evansville Mater Dei for the Regional Championship on Saturday at Heritage Hills. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. ET. The winner will play either #9 Brebeuf Jesuit or #10 Roncalli for the semi-state championship (location TBD).

The Lady Tigers advance to the Regional Final with a 6-1 win over Madison HS. The Tigers will face Evansville Mater Dei on Saturday.
