(St. Leon, Ind.) – EIAC swimmers and divers took to the pool on Monday evening to vie for a conference championship.

East Central High School’s Natatorium played host to the event, and it was the home Trojans that won both the boys and girls EIAC swim conference championship.

The Trojans were led by Conference MVPs Brogan Wilson, Connor Murray, Elle Jankovsky, and Audrey Bumgardner.

Three of the four had record-setting performances.

Wilson placed first in the Boys 100 Breaststroke, setting a new conference record with a time of 59.74. The previous record of 1:02.01 was held by Devin Meece since 1995.

Bumgardner is now the school record holder in the Girls 50 Freestyle. Her time of 24.54 broke the previous record of 24.65 set by Alexis deLong in 2015.

Jankovsky and Bumgardner were joined by Riley Reany and Sierra Hall in setting a new school and conference record in the Girls 200 Medley Relay. Their time of 1:53.67 narrowly passed the EIAC record (1:54.66) set by Greensburg in 2020 and the school record (1:53.84) set in 2018.
