EC's Ringer Climbing State Statistical Ranks

Ringer and his EC teammates are back in action this Friday, taking on Evansville Memorial in the Regional Championship.

(St. Leon, Ind.) – Josh Ringer continues to ascend the all-time statistical leaders list in the state of Indiana.

The East Central football program announced this week via X that Ringer is among the top 25 players in state history in rushing yards, single season points, and career points.

Ringer, a Miami (Oh.) commit, currently has 6,058 career rushing yards, which is an EC record and good for 25th in state history. His 300 points scored this season is the 18th most, and his 648 career points ranks 17th all-time.

The Trojans’ star running back looks to add to those totals this Friday against Evansville Memorial. This is the third straight year the two schools have met in the Regional Championship. East Central won last season’s contest 35-21. The Trojans lost the previous year 17-14.

East Central (12-0) enters Friday’s game as the top-ranked team in Class 4A. Evansville Memorial ranks #15 in the Media Poll and #16 in the Coaches Poll.

Eagle Country 99.3 will have the call from Enlow Field at Evansville Bosse High School starting at 7:10 p.m.

The winner will play either New Palestine or Mooresville in the semi-state round.
