IHSAA Releases 2024 Boys & Girls Soccer SEctional Pairings

Southeastern Indiana boasts six ranked teams heading into the final week of the regular season.

INDIANAPOLIS - Pairings for the 31st annual IHSAA Boys and Girls Soccer State Tournaments were announced on Sunday evening. 

Both tournaments mirror each other beginning with 16 sectionals in each of three classes running October 7-12. 

Regional semifinals will be played October 16-17 with regional championships on October 19. 

Semi-state are Saturday, October 26 at four sites with the winners advancing to the state championship matches on November 1-2 at Michael Carroll Stadium at IU Indianapolis. 

Six area teams are ranked heading into the final week of the regular season. Oldenburg Academy's boys team is ranked 11th in Class 1A. They are seeking to repeat as sectional champion. 

Although not ranked, East Central has won four straight sectional titles. 

Five girls teams in the area are ranked. They are East Central (#13 in 3A), Lawrenceburg (#3 in 2A), Batesville (#20 in 3A), Oldenburg Academy (#4 in 1A) and Switzerland County (#16 in 1A). 

Of the five teams listed above, East Central, Lawrenceburg and Switzerland County were sectional champs a season ago. 

East Central and Switzerland County are seeking to four-peat this season.
