JCD, South Ripley, Shawe Student-Athletes Earn Weekly Honors

(Osgood, Ind.) – Four student-athletes have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference.

The ORVC Report for December 9-14 was released on Tuesday.

Shawe Memorial’s Allison Knoebel was named the Girls Basketball Player of the Week after eclipsing the 1,000-career point mark versus Hauser. In total, Knoebel tallied 45 points, 21 assists, 15 rebounds, and 11 steals over three games.

The Boys Basketball Player of the Week went to Johnny Newhart. The Jac-Cen-Del star totaled 43 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 11 made three-pointers in two games.

South Ripley’s Elizabeth McKittrick and Shawe Memorial’s Matthew Vaughn are the Swimming and Diving Performers of the Week.
