JCD's Borgman, EC's Snodgrass Named to 2024 Silver Anniversary Team

The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame named 18 players to the team for their accomplishments 25 years ago.

(New Castle, Ind.) – Eighteen men have been named to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s 2024 Silver Anniversary Team.

Selections for the Silver Anniversary Team are based on outstanding accomplishments as a senior basketball player 25 years ago.

The team includes 12 members named to the 1999 Indiana All-Star team, and eight other all-state players, including Brad Borgman (Jac-Cen-Del) and Brett Snodgrass (East Central).

Borgman was a 1999 Indiana All-Star. He is JCD’s all-time leading scorer with 1,711 points (held Ripley County record for 10 years) and holds school records for career field goals (611), career 3-points (151), career steals (138), and career blocks (133).

Following high school, Borgman played one season at Eastern Kentucky, two seasons at the University of Indianapolis and one season at Indiana University-Southeast.

Snodgrass was an AP Third-Team All-State selection his senior season at East Central. He once held the school record for career points (1,402), which is currently held by Luke Collinsworth. Snodgrass continues to hold school records for career 3-pointers (169), career 3-point percentage (44%), career free throw makes (411), career free throw percentage (86%), season free throw makes (177), season free throw percentage (88%), season 3-pointers (66), season 3-point percentage (46%), season points (584), season scoring average (27.8), and points in a game (47).

He went on to be a four-year starter for Huntington University and is eighth on their all-time scoring list with 1,860 points.

The 2024 Men’s Silver Anniversary Team members will be honored at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s 62nd Men’s Awards Banquet on March 20.

A midday reception, free and open to the public, will be held at the Hall of Fame Museum in New Castle.  The evening banquet will take place at the Primo Banquet Hall, which is located on the south side of Indianapolis.
