JCD's Williams, Day Named ORVC Basketball Players Of The Week

(Osgood, Ind.) - Two Jac-Cen-Del High School basketball stars have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference. 

The ORVC report for November 29 through December 4 was released on Wednesday. 

Annabelle Williams was named the ORVC Girls Basketball Player of the Week. The Lady Eagles star totaled 22 points, 18 assists, 15 rebounds and six steals in two games, including a triple-double (10 points, 10 rebounds, 14 assists) against Hauser. Williams' 14 assists tied the school record (Janelle Harrell, 2005). 

Williams currently leads the ORVC in assists (44), and is the conference's third-leading scorer (11.6 PPG).

Jac-Cen-Del's Wyatt Day is the ORVC Boys Basketball Player of the Week. He averaged 29.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals, and 3.0 assist over two games, which included a 37-point performance in a win over South Decatur. 

Day has also been recognized by the IBCA for his recent play. 

He is currently the ORVC's second-leading scorer at 26.0 PPG.
