Nine local girls hoops stars earned all-state honors this season.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – The girls high school basketball season is long over but postseason awards have been handed down to nine local stars.
The Indiana Basketball Coaches Association recently released its 2018-19 Girls All-State Teams.
Jac-Cen-Del’s Mariah Day and Oldenburg Academy’s Katie Kinker were named to the Small School Senior All-State Team.
Day filled up the stat sheet this year, averaging 18.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. Kinker was equally impressive, scoring 20.6 points per game while grabbing 6.5 rebounds.
Three other area seniors received honorable mention. They are Batesville star Hattie Westerfeld and the East Central duo of Alyssa Robben and Logan Cox.
Lawrenceburg standout Juliana Kemper made the Underclass Large School All-State Team. The Tigers junior finished the season averaging 18.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.8 steals per game.
Double-double machine Paige Ledford was selected to the Small School All-State Team. The Jac-Cen-Del star averaged a double-double for the season (11.1 ppg, 11.7 rpg).
Greensburg’s Aliyah Evans and Micah Morrison rounded out the local all-state honorees as Underclass Honorable Mention.
