(Aurora, Ind.) – South Dearborn High School quarterback Adam Kunkel set another school record last Friday night.
The Knights’ senior threw for 263 yards and five touchdowns in a 41-0 win over Madison.
In doing so, Kunkel surpassed Adam Dixon’s previous record of 3,761 yards. Dixon now stars for Wilmington College. Last season, he threw for 2,100 yards and 18 touchdowns in his first year as a starter at the collegiate level.
As for Kunkel, he has been a record-breaking machine at South Dearborn. During his junior season, he set eight records including single game completions (33), single game yards (526) single game touchdown passes (6), single game pass attempts (50), season completions (204), season yards (2,253), season touchdown passes (19), and season pass attempts (364).
Kunkel will look to add to his records when the Knights host the Batesville Bulldogs in a crucial EIAC Small School Division game on Friday, September 1.
